A mobile notary is a state commissioned impartial witness who certifies and verifies the identity of a signer, and their willingness of signing important legal documents. Mobile notaries add an additional convenience of bringing notary services direct to a customer —home, office, hospital, or any convenient place.
What types of documents do you notarize?
We notarize real estate documents, power of attorney, wills, trusts, business contracts, medical forms, affidavits, and more. Not sure if your document needs notarization? Just ask!
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
You’ll need:
✔ A valid, unexpired photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
✔ The document(s) you need notarized (unsigned—sign in front of the notary).
✔ Any required witnesses (if needed, let us know—we can help provide them).
Do I have to sign the document in front of the notary?
It is highly advisable to wait to sign the document in front of the notary.
Can you notarize a document for someone who is elderly, hospitalized, or has limited mobility?
Yes! As long as the signer is mentally aware and signing willingly, we can notarize documents at hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
Do all signers need to be present at the same time?
Each person whose signature is being notarized must personally appear before the notary with acceptable identification. Whether everyone must attend at the same time depends on the document instructions and receiving organization.
Can you notarize for someone who doesn’t speak English?
Absolutely! Yes, but there are important requirements. A notary must be able to directly communicate with the signer to confirm their identity, willingness, and understanding of the document—without the use of an interpreter.
What happens if my document is rejected because of an incorrect notarization?
Every notarization is completed carefully within the authority of an Indiana Notary Public. The receiving organization determines final document acceptance. If a concern involves the completed notarial certificate, contact Kerrie so the issue can be reviewed.
